    I have seen the value that Shopify events can bring our merchants and that is why I believe the Offline Marketing Coordinator position is essential. While our team and merchants have formed great relationships through our support channels, there is nothing like meeting in person and spending one on one time with the people that use our platform daily. In my opinion the value that comes out of offline events isn't always tangible but it's incredibly important to the future success of Shopify and if I were to earn this role it's something I would heavily prioritize. 

    Looking at the skills required to be successful as Offline Coordinator I have either practiced them as a Guru, Squad Lead or in a previous job. For two years I was the sales and events manager at Muskoka Steamships and Historical society, we hosted an array of events from weddings to family reunions to multi-day conferences. It was my responsibility to communicate with our clients and coordinate all vendors for every event. This unique experience combined with my Shopify experience makes me an ideal candidate for the Offline Coordinator role.
